Stephen Curry has proven himself to be one of the best NBA players of all time over the course of this NBA season. His prolific ball handling skills and his ability to make shots while being guarded by two defenders from anywhere in the court is unlike anything the NBA has ever seen before. Many basketball experts and analyzers have described Curry as "unreal" and "ridiculous" for his shot making ability.
Stephen Curry's statistics for this season are unlike anything the NBA has ever witnessed before. He is averaging a monstrous 30 points per game, but that's not even the most surprising part of his stats. Curry is shooting 50 percent from the field, and a near record 45 percent from the three-point line. Taking into account the number of three-point shots he takes per game (around 11), that percentage is extraordinary. Along with those amazing percentages, Stephen Curry also makes nine out of 10 free throws per game.
The most shocking thing Curry has done this season has been breaking his own three-point record with one-third of the NBA season still left to go. He has not let up on the three-point shots after breaking the record; in fact, he is only a couple shots away from hitting 400 (in one season). Most NBA players would be ecstatic of being able to hit 400 in their career, let alone in one season. To put things in perspective, here are a couple of Hall Of Fame NBA point and shooting guards who barely reached that milestone of three-pointers in their careers:
Michael Jordan with 581.
Larry Bird with 649.
Dominique Wilkins with 711.
Stephen Curry is a pure machine on the court this year. Along with his impressive record-breaking stats, he is also leading his team to a record-breaking year. It is not often when a player can do both for himself and his team. Will the Stephen Curry madness ever stop?
We will just have to wait and see.
