One day you're on the bus to bid day, and three years and counting later, you look around the chapter room and discover there are more new members than old, and you are suddenly part of the minority.

Besides all of the obvious benefits, like getting called for food first as seniors, and calling yourself as "senior present" when they call roll, you know there is a ton of awesome things that come with finally reaching senior status.

Being in a sorority for four years can be challenging, emotional, and redundant at times... BUT (yes there is a but), it is also one of the most rewarding, valuable, and satisfying experiences of your life.

You've stuck around all this time, not because of the fines you get for not showing up to things or all the times you've gotten a strict talking to, but because of the memories made and friendships that have flourished over your college career.

For example, when your sisters become your roommates and you very quickly learn every single thing about each other, good or bad, and still accept each other unconditionally. You have sisters that cry with you, pray with you, and eat ice cream with you when life unexpectedly hits you. You have sisters that spontaneously and fearlessly book random trips to New York City with you.

You've have learned that it's an honor and a privilege to wear your letters, and you have worn them proudly. Your legacy could have been something as impactful as holding an officer position, or simply just being the best member your chapter has ever seen. By not quitting, always paying your dues, and obtaining good grades and standards, you have made your chapter better. Regardless, you know you have made an impact in some way, and while you're all in the feels about having to leave soon, you hope hundreds of girls after you will find the same fulfillment that you have in your chapter.

It's been one heck of time but all totally worth it in end when you finally reach alum status. Your sorority will always hold a special place in your heart and as your senior year comes and goes, you are making sure to cherish every moment.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
