So you’ve put it off long enough and now it’s time to start your paper. You’ve procrastinated for days and now you can’t wait any longer. You have to do it. If you’ve ever been in school, you know this situation. And you know the stages of paper writing. To describe those stages, I’ve enlisted the help of the lovely cartoon "The Regular Show."
Stage 1: You realize that you have to start it.
I know, I know. You don’t want to. No one ever wants to. But it has to be done.
Stage 2: Sitting at the computer trying to just write something.
Why didn’t I start this earlier?
Stage 3: Caffeine up. This is going to be a long night.
I can do this. Just write something.
Stage 4: You’ve been sitting there for 45 minutes and can’t think of anything.
Why can’t I think of anything to say? There is no reason for this to be that hard. I can write anything!
Stage 5: Inspiration strikes.
I knew it would come to me! I only had to wait an hour!
Stage 6: You start writing whatever comes to your mind.
I will write every word I think of. Every word! I will make word count!
Stage 7: Snack break.
I need nutrients to continue on with my masterpiece. Genius cannot work on an empty stomach.
Stage 8: You’re on a roll.
You’re powerful from the snack break and you’re starting out strong. This is a breeze. Why did I even worry?
Stage 9: Conclusion.
OK, so you’re almost done. Just one paragraph left. Although you’re a little crazy from exhaustion, you can do it.
Stage 10: Proofread.
Wait, it’s 2 a.m. Is proofreading necessary?
Stage 11: Promise yourself that you with proofread in the morning and then probably don’t.
Yeah, yeah. I’ll read over it in the morning before I print it out.
Stage 12: Turn it in.
You did it! You completed the assignment! Good work, team.
