We’re all dreading it- going back to school after a lengthier break. Back to the papers, the assignments, the exams, and waking up at a decent time (although, noon is a VERY ‘decent’ time…). Having a successful transition is very important to the rest of your semester. So, here’s some inspiration for you:
You’re almost done with the semester. This is the final stretch, you can almost see the finish line. You can officially start counting down the weeks until your last classes, when we (or, most of us) are free for the summer.
Finals are coming up. For those of us who need a little harsher inspiration to get back in gear, just remember: you have finals coming up. That means very little slacking and trying to keep your grades up until then. But remember, too, that after all of that is over, you have plenty of time to relax. More time than you have on spring break.
You get to try and have a rejuvenated start. You’ve had a week to relax and not worry about classes or grades; now it’s time to jump back into your school routine with fresh eyes and a new motivation to keep going.
Warmer weather and nicer days are coming. That means you can go study outside, you can open up the windows while you read or type your papers, and you can comfortably go on a walk in order to have a break from studying (remember the 50-minute 10-minute rule!).
And, lastly, if you need a different kind of motivation:
Easter is coming up. Aside from being a very important religious holiday, you get a few days off from school and most of us get to go home and see our families again. So, if you need that sort of motivation, there you go.
No one wants to go back to school. However, you can make your transition a little easier by not procrastinating, getting focused as quickly as possible, and staying organized. Make sure you remember to write things down in a daily planner, keep your room/dorm and book bag organized and neat, make sure you get enough sleep, and take care of yourself. The semester will be over before you know it- make it a good one.
