We've all done it, so we might as well own it.

10 Things Every Spring Student Is Guilty Of Doing
Zarria Bratts

As a spring student, I (along with some friends) have definitely experienced most, if not all, of the things listed below. While starting college is an exciting thing, it easily becomes a huge waiting game for students like me. Missing out on football games, joining clubs/organizations, and many other freshman firsts can really take a toll. Here are several things that myself, and other spring students have gone through (whether we like to admit or not).

1. Planning out their dorm five times (each month)

Practice makes perfect.

2. Worrying way too much about housing

Sometimes the housing you want isn't available

Make sure to list your second, third, fourth, and fifth choice for good measure.

3. Spending an absurd amount of time on social media (especially on Saturday's)

Were you even there if you didn't like all of the #gameday pics?

4. Counting down the days until move-in

It goes by quicker than you think.

And hours...and minutes...and seconds.

5. Explaining to everyone why they're not starting until next semester

I'm tired of repeating myself

Face it, you gave up and started saying it was a choice.

6. Mentally preparing for the thousands of students they'll see every day

Oh look, a new person.

7. Freaking out about graduating on time

Overthinking the future.

Everyone has their own timeline.

8. Racking up as many credit hours as they can to stay on track

Maybe I need Hermione's TimeTurner.

Need. More. Classes.

9. Daydreaming about about being on campus

Have you ever wished you were in class?

Can't you just smell the stress and hormones?

10. Reminding themselves to look at the glass as "half full"

You can do it!

It's a different experience, but it's still exciting and just as important!

Not being there to experience your first fall semester of college is hands down one of the worst cases of F.O.M.O. (feeling of missing out) there is, but, the wait is well worth it. Finally moving in to your dorm after having the semester off will make you feel like you're truly home and where you belong. While a few of the things on this list may not be as positive as others, all of the experiences mentioned will definitely increase your school spirit, and make you a little more grateful to be on campus surrounded by your peers and fellow students.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
