As mid-terms are coming to an end as are the stress of exams, projects, and presentations, you feel brain dead. There is only one thing on our on our minds — SPRING BREAK.
We have been saving our money for the last 6 months just purely for fun in the sun. But who can blame us? It is the month we wait for. The excitement of blurred memories. Might I say, it definitely is never too soon to start planning. Gathering all your friends for a week you will never forget — what else can you ask for?
Tanning, dieting, and hitting the gym are taken to the next level. Slowly but surely, the rec is getting more and more populated. The weights come out, the yoga classes fill up, and track is comparable to a 5 o’clock traffic jam. There is nothing that will limit one to attempt the perfectly chiseled abs. All these things do not just include girls, but guys as well. The month of March is simply prep time that involves an extreme amount of motivation: motivation that seems to be traveling to a whole other dimension. Prepare yourself and do not underestimate wherever you go; be willing to spend the big bucks.
Whether it is Cabo or Vegas, neither will disappoint. It is debatably equivalent to a little kid on Christmas Eve as we await the drive to the airport. As the anxiousness builds while boarding the plane to your dream destination, the butterflies build for all the potential the next week has to hold.
When we think of Spring break and the activities we will participate in, winter and Thanksgiving break seem to not compare. However, plan for the sun burns, staying up later than ever, and meeting interesting people. How can you not feel a sense of eagerness?
Our wardrobe is going from puffy coats, long pants, heavy duty shoes, and beanies to bathing suits, tank tops, shorts, sunglasses and sandals. You know what that means ... shopping. The stress of packing the perfect wardrobe for the next week or so has many in a panic. I mean, for the past 6 months, we all know that Pullman is not very generous with the heat. Which leaves many in a pickle with having our closet filled with North Face, Columbias, and Hunter boots.
In the end, the prep for Spring break seems to have us at a full-time job. With two a days, tanning beds, and a completely different meal regime, it has us extra ready.
