One of the biggest struggles that students face is going back to class after spring break. Spring break gives students a taste of summer only to make them return to class for five or more weeks of class. Here are a few reasons why spring break sucks once it's over.
1. Early morning class is practically impossible
Nothing is worse than having to wake up early to go to a class that is boring and seemingly pointless.
2. Everything is back on schedule
It's back to three classes a day, work, homework, and trying to be an adult. Yay... Not.
3. There's no beach
This isn't true for every student, but for the ones stuck in the midwest it's hard to go on Facebook because everyone else is posting pictures at the beach.
4. The beautiful weather
School gets cancelled on snow days, why is there no such thing as school being cancelled on days where the sun is shining and warm. It should be illegal for anyone to be stuck in a classroom on days it is hotter warmer than 65 degrees.
5. No motivation
After having a week of relaxing, there is no way I will be able to jump back into the cesspool of learning all day.
6. Instructors are just as miserable
While some professors try to hide their summer fever, it's very obvious who doesn't want to be sitting in the classroom for the last five weeks of school.
7. Everything drags on
Instead of working on personal projects or going out of town I am stuck writing a 10-page paper for a class I can hardly sit through.
8. Don't want to read textbooks/ write papers
I enjoy reading and writing when I can do it for me. I don't like it when it's a forced curriculum.
9. Turning brain back on
Analyzing topics and critical thinking is important, but sometimes it's nice to just not think about everything that's going on. Sometimes it's just nice to sit back and take a deep breath and experience the world.
