6 Signs You Have Post-Spring Break Depression

Well, unfortunately, our favorite time of the year has now come and gone. Spring Break 2017 is now in the past and we all are mentally preparing ourselves for the next push in school to get us into Summer 2017. It's amazing how quickly time flies. A week ago I was running a half marathon as my Spring Break started and now I'm attempting to catch up on all the homework and e-mails I have been procrastinating (responsibilities suck). As I sit here and try to reorganize my life and prepare myself to slowly (and I mean slowly) get back into the groove of having class and assignments everyday, I can't help but really wish time would have just stood still over the past week. Whether you went on a cruise, to the Bahamas, skiing out West, or just hung out with your family, here are 6 feels you're going through during this post Spring Break depression.

1. Looking at your bank account and discovering you're now totally broke after your week long vacation.

While you had the best week ever, you can't help but notice that your bank account is now non-existent and your sleep schedule is totally screwed.

2. Realizing all the assignments and responsibilities you have been ignoring have now piled up.

We all seem to think that we are invincible during Spring Break, until we come back and realize we probably shouldn't have avoided our every day responsibilities as much as we did.

3. Realizing your sunburn has not gone away as quickly as you thought it would.

Everyone's goal during Spring Break is to get a nice tan, however, the majority of us will be walking around campus with a nice sunburn for the next week.

4. Facing the reality that you no longer get to drink tropical drinks everyday.

Let's face it, the best part of Spring Break is all the tropical drinks you get. Unfortunately, those tropical drinks are a thing of the past. Back to vodka waters downtown.

5. Realizing you no longer get to go out for every meal.

Another perk of Spring Break is all the great food you have and the money you have to spend on it. After Spring Break, both the scale and your wallet is telling you to take it easy.

6. Already getting excited about what next year's Spring Break will have in store for you and your friends.

As you reminisce on this year's Spring Break, you already start to get excited about next year and can't wait to see what questionable decisions you and your friends will make.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
