There's something about Tallahassee in the summertime. The 4th of July means hot dogs, bikinis and Bud Lights, so spending the long weekend in Tallahassee seems like a given. College game days are still a few months away, so this weekend-long tailgate is one that you can't miss out on.
It's almost America's birthday and you're super excited!
So naturally you and your friends are heading to Tallahassee for the weekend.
You're decked out from head to toe in red, white and blue, of course.
The parties start early so despite the hangover you're nursing from the night before, you're up and ready to go as soon as the sun comes up.
You tell yourself you're going to take it easy at first because the 4th of July is a marathon not a sprint.
Then someone breaks out the y-bombs and pacing yourself flies out the window.
The heat is almost unbearable but there's an inflatable pool and red, white and blue popsicles so you're good.
You wonder why everyone around you looks 12 and then you remember that it's Summer C.
Everyone is drunkenly chanting "USA!" and it's so touching you almost cry.
You make your best attempt to get your drunk self together.
In a shocking turn of events, the fraternity your at runs out of beer.
2 p.m rolls around and you're ready for a hot dog and a nap.
As the afternoon winds down, you and your friends try to regroup and recover as much as possible before the night time parties start.
You come out of your drunken fog to discover you forgot to reapply sunscreen so you're about as red as the stripes on the American flag.
But you suck it up because you're an American and you're ready to go out again.
Everyone is a sunburnt, star-spangeled hammered hot mess, but you love every second of it.
You end the night with an extra-large box of pokey sticks and the biggest bottle of Gatorade possible and you have never been happier.
You fall asleep with "God Bless America" playing in your head and dream about next 4th of July.
