Sorry But Cyber Monday Is The New Black Friday

Seriously, Who Likes Leaving Their House To Be Bombarded By People?

You know that day after Thanksgiving that we all know fondly as Black Friday? Well, I am here to tell you that there is a way better day just a couple of days later that is called Cyber Monday. You may be wondering why this day is SO much better than Black Friday; well, I am here to tell you why. One of the biggest reasons is that you don't have to wake up at the crack of dawn (or never even going to sleep from Thanksgiving shopping). The sales on the internet go all day long and you are just simply ordering the product, so there is no worrying of the item running out of stock.

In addition to those two glorious amenities is that you can do it from anywhere in the world! For some very lucky people, that may mean not leaving your own bed and for the not so lucky people you could do it from your job if you have access to a computer or your phone (please don't take this as me encouraging you to shop all day at work because you are at work but you could do it on a break).

Also because you aren't doing any of the shopping in person, you don't have to deal with several ugly aspects of Black Friday like waiting in the extremely long lines, the huge crowds, attempting to find a parking spot, grumpy employees. You can shop for in your pajamas. Who doesn't love pajamas? This will save you a lot of stress and will, in return, allow you have the good state of mine to get thoughtful gifts for your family and friends. In addition to this, it will also save your stress levels and you will be calmer and at ease for the holiday season.

Another great aspect to Cyber Monday is that the deals are better than they are on Black Friday most of the time especially at online only retail places like amazon. Most places offer free shipping on orders too, so you are also saving more money in a way because you don't have to physically drive to the store and burn your own fuel. Who doesn't want to be environmentally friendly?

One of the last awesome advantages that I can think of for Cyber Monday is that the things are already being shipped in packages so you don't have to wrap the thing in weird packing because the big stuff will already be in a box. All you have to do is open the box and take out the receipt and stuff and close the box and wrap the box so it looks pretty.

Now don't get me wrong, if you like to go out on Black Friday, go ahead and do it! This is America people, we can (almost) do whatever we want. But I seriously think more people should consider Cyber Monday their day to do almost all of their holiday shopping and keep the day after Thanksgiving for their day of comatose from all of the food they ate the previous day.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
