1. I'm in your pledge class... not Spring 18's

2. I know shocker right?

3. I'm an English Major

4. AKA hit me up if you ever want a fresh pair of eyes on your papers

5. Give me an elevated surface and I will dance on it no questions asked

6. I'm reserved but also outgoing, I walk a fine line between the two

7. I love chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream with M&M's on top all day every day

8. I love all types of music, but country and the classics our parents all listened to will have a bigger place in my heart

9. I'm Italian so I won't keep calm when I'm excited sorry not sorry

10. I joined a sorority because I wanted to take myself out of my comfort zone, and it truly has

11. You all hold a special place in my life, and I hope to figure this out as we grow closer as a pledge class

12. Our New Member Experience was amazing, and I'll never forget how amazing it was going through the retreat together

13. Why don't many of you know me?

14. I couldn't go to many events due to struggling in all of my fall semester classes

15. Scholarship always comes first, and I learned that sometimes being set back is a blessing in disguise

16. I want to make the most of being in a sorority and hope to get more involved as time progresses

17. Can't wait to get to know you as well as the other sisters, catch you at the house or at a Panhel event!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
