Ending sophomore year means ending one of the best years of our lives. Being a sophomore means you know what college is like, but you aren't at the point where you are too old to go to a frat party. Coming up on the end of my sophomore year, there are a few things I have learned and many things I am going to miss.
1. The sophomore slump will hit you, and it will hit you hard.
The month before finals rolls around and you realize you only have three assignments left to bring up your grades.
2. Junior registration information comes out and you have to decide if you actually want to stay in your major...forever.
Being a finance major is cool and all, but do you really want to deal with numbers for the rest of your life?
3. Now that you've decided what you want to do with your life, you have to find an internship.
You need an internship to gain experience, but no one will hire you because you have no experience.
4. When you realize these are the last few weeks where it is socially acceptable for you to go to a frat party.
Let's face it, you can make appearances at a few frat parties junior year, but fratting every weekend is a little much.
5. But you also realize you're at the point where friends have to convince you to go out because laying in bed watching Netflix is more appealing than going to a frat.
Sometimes (most of the time), Grey's Anatomy is way more satisfying than getting dressed up and going to a party.6. When you realize your fast metabolism is going to be gone soon, so you eat everything in sight.
Everyone talks about eating healthy and working out, but we only have so much time to eat junk food and have nothing happen.
7. When you reflect on the past two years and realize you've made best friends and memories for life.
By the end of sophomore year you start to get into the nitty gritty of college life. Messing around is over and you see who your real friends are. You remember all the amazing memories you've made and think about the amazing memories yet to come.
