In October I put out a pretty solid workout playlist. Now it's been two months, and chances are you're getting tired of listening to those same songs (tip: if you know what song is going to come on next before it starts, you've been listening to it for too long).
Here's December's gym playlist to keep you focused and pumped up while you work out during the holidays.
And no, there are no Christmas songs on the playlist. Lifting to "Santa Baby" really doesn't work for anyone.
For The Warm Up
Warm up for your workout, and warm up from the cold (except in Florida, where it is a burning cesspool year round)
- Things We Lost In The Fire—Bastille
- Another Sad Love Song—Khalid
- Mr. Brightside—The Killers
- Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)—Beyonce
- Pretend—Bad Suns
- Take Me Out—Franz Ferdinand
- Work Hard, Play Hard—Wiz Khalifa
- Lean On (feat. MØ & DJ Snake)—Major Lazer
- Problem—Ariana Grande, Iggy Azalea
- Too Close—Alex Clare
For Cardio
Maybe it's nice enough to run outside where you live. Imagine yourself running away from your crazy family members, or running to the store to buy a present that your picky sibling only just told you they wanted the day before Christmas.
- Unicorn Zombie Apocalypse—Borgore
- Sweet Memories—CID & Kaskade
- I Want U—Alison Wonderland
- Boneless—Steve Aoki
- Freaks—Timmy Trumpet & Savage
- Lolita—Lana Del Rey
- Hey Mama—David Guetta, Nicki Manaj, Bebe Rexha, Afrojack
- Magnets—Disclosure, Lorde
- Beautiful Now—Zedd
- You Can’t Stop Me—Andy Mineo
For Strength Training
Compliments cardio well, and helps burn fat so you don't have to miss out on those holiday goodies
- New Rules - Alison Wonderland Remix—Dua Lipa, Alison Wonderland
- Blasphemy—Borgore
- Tsunami – Original Mix—DVBBS
- Sleaze – feat. Mistajam—Knife Party
- Animals – Extended—Martin Garrix
- Forbes—G-Eazy & Borgore
- Dangerous (feat. Sam Martin)—David Guetta
- Habits (Stay High) – The Chainsmokers Extended Mix—Tove Lo
- Shots & Squats feat. Tham Sway—Vigiland
- Gold—Kiiara
For The Cool Down
Take this step SERIOUSLY. Not only for your physical well-being, but for your mental well-being when you return home to your crazy family visiting for the holidays.
- 8TEEN—Khalid
- Glory—Bastille
- Queens—MisterWives
- Tubthumping—Chumbawamba
- Feel Again—OneRepublic
- Acquainted—The Weekend
- My House—Flo Rida
- Good For You—Selena Gomez
- Issues—Julia Michaels
- Drop the Game—Flume & Chet Faker
For Stretching
Take your last few moments to relax and remember all the good parts about the holidays. The food, and the food, and the good times with your family when everyone is asleep, and the food.
- Carousel—Melanie Martinez
- Sincerely—Stephen
- The Draw—Bastille
- Is There Somewhere—Halsey
- Close feat. Tove Lo—Nick Jonas
- All The Time—Bahamas
- Coat of Armour—George Ezra
- Unsteady—X Ambassadors
- The Wolves & the Ravens—Rogue Valley
- Big Jet Plane—Angus & Julia Stone
Even if it isn't the holidays, exercise is a great way to stay on top of your health and de-stress. Nothing motivates me more than a great playlist, so maybe these tunes will get you up and running too. Happy Holidays, friends!
