I am not saying that talking to guy friends about your problems is a bad thing at all, but you definitely don't want them to think you are like those 'typical' girls who overthink a lot, and are emotional and sensitive all the time. When it comes to guy problems, what's better than ranting to all your girl friends? They feel you or even know you better than you know yourself. So, don't hold those emotions back; let them out whenever because they probably know you the best. Well, at least for me, there is always that one girl friend who will never give up on you no matter how many stupid things you do for someone who doesn't even worth your time.

1. You deserve the world.

They may not give you the advice you want to hear but they certainly prevent you from digging yourself into a hole. Don't fall for the wrong person who doesn't and will never treat you right. There is always that one girl friend who doesn't want to see you get hurt over and over again. She will constantly remind you not to settle for less. So no matter how blindly in love you are, it is time to wake up because they know who is the best guy for you.

2. Drunk texting is bad for you.

Don't worry, they surely know how to take care of you when you are drunk. You're probably an attention seeker who will text something stupid like the typical, 'I miss you' or, 'I want you to be here' to the guy you have a crush on and want attention. Trust me, those texts are the biggest mistakes and regrets you will have the next day and that is when your girl friends got you back. If you can't control yourself, they distract you from looking at your phone the whole time. Most importantly, they make you forget him at least just for one night, to have fun at a party.

3. He isn't for you.

You talk to your girl friend about a guy you think is cute and charming, you even think he is your type and the right one for you, but that is usually not the case. You were blinded by emotions and fell for his charms. However, your girl friend can clearly tell you that he isn't good enough for you or not compatible with you. All you got to do is listen and take a step back, realizing how many naive mistakes you made just to think he probably like you back. At this point, it is time to wake up because your girl friend is right that he doesn't deserve you.

4. You have no time for f*ckboys.

Your time is precious, if you can't define if he is really a nice guy or just pretending to be one so you can fall for him. You will then come up with excuses to justify his acts and he means everything he says. If he actually upsets you, you will further justify he doesn't mean it. If that is the case, your girl friend probably will be more pissed and angry for you because you refuse to listen to her and continue to fall for him harder. Don't be fooled. Don't trust yourself but trust her because she sees everything clearer than you. He will hurt you and bring you down but your girl friend won't.

5. Don't make hasty decisions alone.

It is always better off to rant to your girl friend that you trust. Don't do this alone because you may just end up hurting yourself and getting too deep to a point that doesn't worth the end. You know your girl friend will always be there for you before you make any decisions in going for someone who doesn't deserve you. Have tons of girls talk, of course you can listen to what your heart has to say but sometimes, you still end up acting irrationally. Regardless of what results it may be, you still learn a lesson.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
