So you're single, just like me. You're sitting here thinking, "Nobody is interested in me, I'm going to die alone, etc." Boy, do I have some news for you.
First and foremost, nobody is going to want you with that attitude.
If you have the mentality that nobody is going to want you because you're flawed, nobody will. Ever hear the saying that confidence is sexy? That is 100 percent true. You need to present like you are something special. Now, I'm not saying become full of yourself and think you're God's gift to humanity. I am saying, act like you're worthy of love. It's absolutely amazing how quick your luck will change with confidence.
Secondly, don't put so much of your worth into having a relationship. I know it's easy to look at your friends who are dating people—maybe they're engaged or married already—and think you are less than because you're single. Instead, take this time to make yourself a better person. A relationship is not about finding someone who completes you. A relationship should be two whole people who encourage one another to be better individuals together. You are an incredible person who is worth so much with or without the relationship.
Desperation is a turn-off. When I meet girls and it's apparent they are desperate for a relationship, I don't bother. I have in the past and it has left me feeling used, like they only chased after me so they could slap "In A Relationship with..." on their Facebook. Plus, why would you want to be in a relationship just for the sake of being in one? Wouldn't you rather be in a relationship with someone who you genuinely adore and want to see grow as a person?
Lastly, single is just a label. For some reason, there is this stigma that being single is a bad thing. Almost as if you are less than just because you're not in a relationship. This isn't true. Relationships do not determine your worth. It's just a label, so don't let it affect you.
I know it is easy to get down on yourself for being single, but honestly, it's the time for you to work on yourself. Often times, people miss opportunities because their significant other is distracting them. Being single just means you have one less distraction in your way. You want to achieve greatness, do it now! Plus, being single and in a good place in life is a huge turn-on.
Relationships aren't everything, so stop acting and feeling like they are.
