She sits on her bed, alone and restless, looking for an escape from the world she has created in her mind. Her life lacks love and compassion and so, as a result, she searches through the darkest parts of her soul for a glimpse of what she believes she is missing. After her many failed attempts in search of affection, she finds her old friend Jack; a tall, dark man with the overwhelming scent of the desire to forget. She drowns her sorrows in him, and suddenly, the world stops and she finds herself draped over the cold and desolate toilet that seems to be a common re-occurrence in her lonesome life. She begs for more and she gets it, she looks for more and she gets it. The only thing keeping her from disappearing is the vile thought of having to live another life of despair over again.
Her life is like the sea - rough and unstable during storms, but when the sky goes from an ominous dark blue to a multitude of the warmest colors on the color wheel, she feels safe and secure. When the seas are calm, she has moments of complete serendipity where nothing else matters, and the feeling of content is so overwhelming, yet so pure that she never wants the feeling to end. Isn’t that what life's all about anyways? Finding what makes you happy even in your darkest moments in life? There are billions of people on this planet, and each and every one of them has something they are either ashamed of, have lost, or have given up and yet the saddest people still manage to find that one thing that puts all of the bad stuff on hold for a little while.
Everyone is capable of writing their own stories and their own fate. The only roadblock is God’s plan for each individual, and yet, everyone eventually finds their calling whether it happens to be art, engineering or even helping others find their calling. Everyone has a purpose and everyone has a life to live, the only difference is how many obstacles are in their way and how much fortitude they have to leap over the roadblock. Everyone is capable, everyone is able, everyone is important.
