Agree or disagree, Christmas time is here. Since the end of Halloween, stores have rolled out their holiday window displays and announced their upcoming sales. You can find Christmas trees and holiday decorations at Walmart, Target, and Lowe's. Radio stations will begin playing Christmas music soon, and don't forget about the seasonal foods. The only thing that makes Oreos better is festive red icing between them. This time of the year brings so much joy and happiness, which is exactly why so many people, including myself, begin celebrating Christmas the day after Halloween. We're not forgetting Thanksgiving, we simply want to begin spreading holiday cheer. Here are some signs that you're ready for Christmas season:
This is an accurate description of you
You get your Holiday playlists lined up
And begin binge-watching all of your favorite holiday movies
You've probably already decorated
And have made the final adjustments to your Christmas list
You go to Starbucks every day for a Peppermint Mocha in a red cup
You start burning Christmas candles
And burst with excitement at the sight of Christmas decorations in the stores
Some people will low key hate you for skipping straight to Christmas
But you won't care because 'tis the season!
I am a firm believer that the Christmas season starts now. I have Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas is You" on repeat and have been continually eating candy canes for days. The holiday season is a time of happiness and cheer and filled with all things festive. I hope that I have convinced you to begin your celebrating now, or at least hate all of us early birds a little less. Merry Christmas!
