1. The Starbucks Cup

Nothing screams "it's Christmas time!" like those beautiful Starbucks Christmas cups. Sure they got backlash a year ago, but have you seen them this year?! Beautiful! In fact, I may just go get a soy toffee nut latte right now.

2. Michael Bublé.

Who doesn't want a voice as smooth as his serenading you with Christmas music while you sip your Starbucks latte in a coffee shop? I mean, this Canadian Cutie has one of the best Christmas records of all time. He's just so dang classy with his Sinatra-like crooning.

3. Christmas Cookies

I don't know about you, but as soon as December 1st hits, BOOM! I become a baking extraordinaire. Not that I don't bake the other 11 months of the year, but it all becomes heightened during the Christmas season.

4. ALL. THE. CHRISTMAS. MOVIES.

Let's be real here, this type of thing starts the day after Thanksgiving. I may or may not be speaking from experience...

5. Ugly Christmas Sweaters

To be fair, cardigan season starts in autumn. But we definitely up the ante when it comes to Christmas sweaters. After all, who doesn't love a good ugly Christmas sweater party??

6. Warm Drinks

A little taste of warmth going through your body feels amazing in the cold winter, whether it be something as simple, like hot chocolate, or something fancy, like mulled wine or a skinny peppermint mocha.

7. A Warm Fireside

Whether it be the subtle crackling of the fireplace or the faint smell of an apple cinnamon or vanilla peppermint coming from that Yankee Candle in your room, the smell of fire just adds an extra sense of coziness (even if you live in a warm/tropical area).

8. Lights, trees, and decorations

By this point, it is evident that a lot of people have jumped on the "I love Christmas Bandwagon." But we special snowflakes (see what I did there) who love Christmas become filled with glee, just because the world gets just a little happier around Christmas time.

9. Getting Bundled Up

There's something about scarves, hats, gloves, blankets and FUZZY SOCKS. And I don't know what it is, but this 'something' fills people with anticipation for the coming season. Plus, fun wintry prints add more festivity (as if you needed that). Like, c'mon, imagine having all of these in your closet to keep you nice and toasty...

10. Shopping

Normally shopping is relatively fun, but when it is for Christmas, it becomes about a million times better and more exciting. You have to find that perfect gift for your best friend. Challenge accepted.

11. And, finally, Christmas Music

If you're crazy for Christmas, then listening to Christmas music starts on November 1st. Bring on Justin Bieber's Misletoe, and if that's not your style, please refer to #2 on this list.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
