If you ask anyone that knows me, they will probably mention to you that I am one of the most stressful people they have ever met. I know I am only 18 years old and I don't need to be stressed out, but I am and I can't help it. Stress is actually a part of my DNA and will be for the rest of my life. It's not a crime, but I am a Debby Downer every once in a while. Here are some signs to help you understand a little more clearly what it's like to be a stressful person on the daily.

1. Chewing gum.

Yes, this may be a little weird but I chew gum when I am extremely nervous about something, whether it be a test, project or even texting my mom to ask her a question. I have this huge bag of gum and I went through it within a week. I don't know, but there is just something about chewing gum that calms my nerves and makes me focus more than I usually would without it.

2. You are a perfectionist.

Okay, this is accurate because I always catch myself asking people whether this looks perfect or not. You want to be the most perfect person out there and even though that's impossible, stressed people think it is not. That's why we stress so much, we think we can be this perfect person, but in reality, that'll never ever happen.

3. You stress about every tiny ity bitty thing.

You can not keep calm and that is a serious problem to everyone else who isn't as stressed out as you are. You stress about things that don't even matter. You can be stressed out about what to eat for dinner, what shirt you are going to buy from the store or even what movie to watch with the family. It's little things that get your stomach churning and thinking "OMG, what if I pick the wrong movie and everyone else wants to watch the other one."

4. You stress about things that you don't need to worry about.

You'll make up scenarios in your head that don't even make sense but they somewhat make sense to you, then you start freaking out because you think what if that actually happens, then you just explode. Yes, that's all I got for this one.

5. We aren't fun to be around.

This happens to me all the time. You stress to the point where no one thinks you are fun and they don't want to be around you anymore.

6. Anxiety attacks happen often.

You get so stressed out that eventually, you work yourself up to having an anxiety attack. This may or may not happen to you, but if you get nervous about a particular situation going on in your life, it may affect you to the point of getting anxiety.

7. You try to be organized but it just doesn't work.

Organization is key and that is something stressed people don't have. Everything is all over the floor, your papers are scattered around the desk, you can't find that one assignment you have been writing forever, you're just a hot mess.

8. You stress about things that will happen in the future.

Usually, people live in the now, the present, today, that's funny. We tend to think about what will happen in our lives 10 years from now. Where we will be, if we have a job, if we are happy, etc. You want to plan out your life right now, but nothing will ever be as they seem.

9. You don't eat.

Eating is the last thing you want to do when you are stressed out and being someone like me, that is all the time.

10. You lash out on the people who are closest to you.

You always apologize and promise never to do it again, but than the next day you are arguing about something completely stupid.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
