6 Signs You Found Your Person, Even If You Were Quite Confident You Never Would

Years ago I was in a spot in my life where I didn't think I deserved true love. I didn't think I would ever find a guy who I wanted to be with regardless of any circumstance. I definitely didn't think that I would find a guy that molded into everything I needed in a person, but I was proven wrong and I couldn't be more thankful for that.

Here are the 6 signs that tell me I have found my person, if you can relate, you probably have too!

He always supports me.

No matter how big, or how small, I have always gotten support from him in every situation. If I don't have support from anyone else, I know I will get it from him. He is always there to encourage me when I need it and prove to me that I can do it, even when I am convinced otherwise. He will do anything to see me succeed and follow my dreams. I wouldn't be where I am today without his constant support.

He always has my back.

When I need him, he is there. He never second-guesses me and he always stands up for me. I know he will have my back under any circumstance, and he knows I will do the same for him. That's what makes us such a great team.

He has never given up on me.

Everyone goes through tough times in a relationship, but not all will have the strength to get through it. We have been through some very tough times, but we stuck together and never doubted each other. We could have easily given up and walked away, yet we never did. Getting through those troubled times have only made us stronger.

He chose me, even in my lowest moment.

When we met, I will be the first to admit that I was a mess. I still, to this day, don't know what he saw in me then. Somehow he looked past the chaos and asked me on a date. It was on that first date that I saw just how truly amazing he was and I knew I needed to clean myself up for him. He chose me that day and continued to choose me every day since.

He has helped me through the toughest times.

As I said, we have had our fair share of troubled times, but when I need him he is always there. He never fails to make my bad days good in the end. He will always do anything and everything to put a smile on my face, even if he didn't have the best day himself. He consistently puts me first and I admire him for that.

He has loved me like no one else has.

Before I met him, I didn't know just how much a person was capable of love. I was never shown how a true relationship should be. Not only did he show me in the beginning, but he continues to show me every day. He constantly does the little things to make me happy and show me that he is thinking about me. Above all, he habitually shows me the purest love.

If you haven't found your person yet, I encourage you to wait until you find someone who does these six things for you. The right person will put you first, always. He will do little things to make you smile, like cook you dinner while you are at work or leave sweet notes for you when he leaves. He will always choose you, even when you wouldn't choose yourself. Most importantly, he will show you what true love is. That is a feeling worth waiting for, believe me.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
