Everyone has a best friend who they think is better than everyone else's best friend. Truthfully, they're not, but they might be the best person to fulfill your best friend needs. We all know that Tina and Amy are ultimate BFF goals -- so we can only strive to find the Tina to our Amy and vice versa. Here are 14 signs you've succeeded.
1. People have thought you were a couple on more than one occasion
You hold hands and stand super close together at parties, but it’s not because you’re a couple. It’s because you only want to socialize with each other.
2. Once they find out you’re not a couple, they ask if you’re sisters
Before you can even say, “Oh no, we’re just friends,” someone says, “You’re sisters, right? You look alike.” Sure, we both exclusively wear black and have the same glasses -- that doesn’t mean we’re related.
3. When they ask if you want to move to a far-off land together, you say yes first and ask questions later
You've had this conversation:
“If Donald Trump wins this election, do you wanna move to Europe?”
“Yes.”
“Nice.”
“Wait, where in Europe? With what money?”
4. You may or may not have discussed a future pregnancy pact, so your babies can get married and you’ll be in-laws
But you decided to wait to make the pact until you graduate and have tried to "adult" for a little while.
5. You’re each other's designated wing-person
Sometimes bae needs to let loose, and you're totally OK with being her party mom and facilitating a hook up if you have to.
6. You do the thing where you both complain about your different problems at the same time
We can carry on two conversations at once -- it's fine.
7. You’ve casually referred to her as your wife to other people
No one is ever really quite sure who you're talking about, unless they know wifey too. But it's cool, it's fine.
8. You’ve yelled at someone from a car together, most likely with one of you driving
It's road rage 99 percent of the time, but let's face it: people drive like idiots.
9. She’s typically the first to know when you do anything, especially when it’s something stupid, but it’s OK because you know she loves you anyway
She'll probably applaud your stupidity and make fun of you for it for years to come. At least you probably asked for her advice before you did that stupid thing anyway.
10. You’ve walked into their house unannounced on more than one occasion (and her parents not only don't care, but kind of expect it at this point)
You basically live together, and you don't understand when people tell you they actually knock when they go to their best friend's house. Mi casa es su casa. By that I mean my dog is your dog and vice versa.
11. When you just can’t deal with your family/roommates, you don’t even need to ask to come over because they’re probably already on their way to pick you up
Whether your little sister won't leave you alone or your roommate just won't get off the phone until 2 a.m. every damn night, she certainly knows about it and she's about to text you that she's waiting for you outside.
12. When someone says something rude to you at a party and you both look at them like this:
Neither of you are above starting a verbal fight at a party if people are talking about you, especially when you're holding a Gatorade bottle full of jungle juice. You've done it before and you'll do it again.
13. When you’re out together and see someone cute, you nudge them and point, every single time
Then she'll push you forward and tell you to talk to the cutie, even though she knows you probably won't.
14. Most of all, you can’t imagine a life without her and don’t know how you survived before you met
She's the Bert to your Ernie, the Abby to your Ilana, the Meredith to your Christina and, most importantly, the Tina to your Amy. She’s been there for you through break ups and make ups, and that time you just needed to spend $20 on chicken nuggets and fries at McDonald's at 2 a.m. You wouldn’t be the person you are without her and you thank the universe every day that her crazy complements your crazy.
