Every group of friends has friends that fulfill roles such as a mom, dad, and even the child in the group, but people usually forget about the therapist. This happens because the therapist friend usually is a great listener and would much rather sit back and analyze the conversation. Being a great friend and listener can sometimes make you the default therapist of the group. You can help your friends through tough situations, but it also comes with you being put in some uncomfortable situations. Here are some signs that you are the therapist friend or that there is a therapist friend in your group.
1. You aren't very good with advice, but they come to you anyway

2. Getting calls from friends who hate their job

3. When you give them advice and they don't take it

4. When they finally take your advice and it works out
5. Knowing when to call them because... UNAGI!

6. You have had dance sessions with your friends before

7. Warning them about toxic relationships and acting surprised when they have problems.
