18 Signs You're The Mom Of The Friend Group

In today’s culture, calling someone “Mom” can have a couple of definitions. One, of course, is actually your mom. Another, can be when friends call each other mom. You have certain qualities that show that you are responsible and can handle a lot at once, just like a mom can. Every friend group needs that “mom.” So, if you are the mom of your friend group, like me, you probably show most of these qualities that make you “the mom."

1. When driving, you make sure everyone has their seat belt on.

2. You are usually the designated driver.

3. ...Or if you don’t drive (which is rare), you make sure they text you to make sure they got home safely.

4. You are one of their biggest fans and top supporters in anything they do.

5. You usually take the leadership role and they can count on you in leading them to the right place.

6. You are usually the peace maker.

7. You usually bring snacks/drinks to every event.

8. Your friends always ask you to remind them about upcoming events.

9. You also know their schedules by heart and help in making them as well.

10. You always tell everyone to be safe in wherever they go because you care about them.

11. They come to you for advice.

12. You know when it’s time to joke around…

13. ...And be when it’s time to be serious.

14. You usually clean up after everyone.

15. You are the groups event planner.

16. You look like you have your life together…

17. ...But you really don’t.

18. At the end of the day, your friends appreciate your mom-ness and you!

Being the mom just makes you more awesome than you were before! Don’t ever be ashamed of it; your friends look up to you.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
