In any given circle of friends everyone plays a different role. Some people play the "party animal", the "smart one", the "funny one", the "cute one", the "one who has the best luck with the opposite sex" and then there is the "Mom."
Being the "Mom" of the friend group means that you will most deffinitely be the butt of many a joke and the one that everyone views as overly responsible. Some say that you are wiser than your years and are always willing to help. No matter what, you love your friends with all your heart even if they do poke fun at you from time to time. Here are some more signs that you are the "Mom" of your friend group:
1. Your friends actually call you mom.
2. Your dorm or tiny apartment has to be spotless if guests are coming over.
3. You are your friend's "go-to" for advice.
4. You can cook more than just boxed Mac n Cheese or Ramen...
5. ...And people are actually impressed with your medicore cooking.
6. You've waited up for your roommates to come home safely.
7. You are always there if someone is sick.
8. You actually have a first-aid kit on deck at all times.
9. Your idea of a good time consists of comfy pants and a relaxing night in.
10. Your favorite scent is that of freshly done laundry.

Being the "Mom" of your friend group is title you take upon yourself and have to carry with pride. You take on the late night phone calls and an abundance of teary tissues.
You also take on the laughter and love that comes with being emotionally, mentally and physically available to those around you. All jokes aside, you love being the first person your friends call in their time of need and the first person they call when the cute college boy asked them out.
You are always needed even if your "mom-ness" isn't always wanted.
