Everyone knows a big family. From the famous ones, like the Kardashians, Duggars and Jon and Kate and the crew, to the less famous ones, the families in your town, at your school, at your church.

The families that own at least one minivan, rock hand-me-downs, and have their own football team. These families have a monopoly on baby pictures and have their whole family dedicated to caring for one another. If you don't know one, you probably are part of one. I'm sorry you had to find out this way, but if you identify with half of these, then you're definitely part of a big family. Think of it this way, at least, you aren't a Duggar daughter or a Kardashian son. Too bad you're not a Weasley though, that'd be sweet.

1. Strangers see you and ask, "Are you Beth's son?" or "Are you a Smith?"

2. You're almost exclusively called by your last name.

3. Your own parents often mistake you for your siblings.

4. You have cousins you've never met, and new aunts and uncles at each family reunion.

5. You go days without seeing brothers or sisters.

6. You can get a family discount at every restaurant in town.

7. You're borderline famous in your area, just for having a recognizable last name.

8. You can honestly not remember how old your siblings are.

9. There has never been a perfect family photo.

10. "Double-Buckling" in cars is a common occurrence.

11. Most of your clothes, are hand-me-downs, or "borrowed" from an older sibling.

12. You don't have an "inside voice."

13. Every teacher you've ever had, either expects too much or too little, because of your siblings they've had in class.

14. Any time your parents needed a babysitter, it was you, or an older sibling.

15. Almost every month is a birthday, and every year is a graduation, so life is a constant party.

Being a part of a giant family can have its perks and set backs.
