There are two groups of people in the world: the realists and the dreamers.
The hopeless romantics are the biggest dreamers of all. We can't help but dream of the day when we fall in love with the ones who we will spend the rest of our lives with (or if they are even looking for us, too). Some of us aren't ready to fall in love, but that doesn't mean that we don't have problems with it.
1. You wish your life was a romantic movie sometimes.
Watching romance movies is a definite trait of any hopeless romantic. While it is said to give us unrealistic expectations for love and life in general, they really just set the bar for guys higher.
It's perfectly fine to wish to be one of those women for a moment because the male protagonists really know how to woo girls. We can't help but compare the boys around us to the boys in the movies.
Don't worry, though— soon, your romantic movie man will come into your life.
2. Your wedding Pinterest board has the most pins.
Of course, I want a s'mores bar and that exact picture of my bridesmaids and me getting ready before the ceremony! My wedding would definitely not be complete without that cake or tablecloth color.
Maybe you haven't been dreaming about your wedding day since you were little, but, as you got older, you realized how much fun it is to plan the wedding that you probably would never have. Though you won't end up DIYing most of it like you said you would, it will turn into the magical day that you and your spouse deserve.
3. You might not be ready to meet him or her, but you know that your special someone is out there.
You're young and ready to take on the world. Maybe it's not your time to meet the love of your life, but, someday, he or she will come and bump into you at a coffee shop or ride in on a white horse. It may take a few tries to get to the right one, but, eventually, he or she will waltz into your life at the right moment.
Keep on believing that your perfect person is out there and let yourself become a better person while you're waiting for him or her to arrive.
4. You have too many celebrity crushes.
Whether they're hotties, like Theo James and Channing Tatum, or handsome and dapper, like George Clooney and Prince Harry, you've got quite a few always on your mind. Though unrealistic, we hopeless romantics like to think about lives with the famous. It's nice to think about how we could be the "normal girls" that tied down people like them. I doubt that we'll find them in the normal ways that you meet someone, but one can always dream.
5. You've seen all of the "Say Yes to the Dress" episodes.
Dad, I need that exact $15,000 dress because, not only did I pin it, but I saw it on "Say Yes to the Dress." Randy said that it would flatter my figure the most and he's always right. You know that Pnina dresses are only sold at Kleinfeld, so, if I decided to get one of those, then I have to go there! Besides, we could always make a vacation out of it, right?
6. You wouldn't look at love any other way.
You're in love with love. You want the butterflies in your stomach, fireworks going off when you kiss, and a completely perfect "I love you." You're waiting for that special person to come and sweep you off your feet. Sure, it might not be the first person you date, but it will be the last. You will know when it is right and you'll stick with your gut.
We hopeless romantics get a bad reputation most of the time for having our heads in the clouds. However, love is a big deal to us and we don't care what people say.
In the end, love is where true happiness lies. It's too bad that the realists can't see that.
