There seems to be a negative stigma attached to the term “Drama Queen”. Not all people who are referred to as drama queens are tantrum throwing, manipulative brats. Here are some tell-tale signs that you are actually a drama queen.

1. You roll your eyes at LEAST 15 times a day.

Rolling your eyes is just an automatic response. You can’t help it. Well, sometimes you can, but did he really just say that?

2. You have a weekly meltdown.

Your scheduled weekly meltdown is considered “me time” to cleanse your soul. You can refer to a previous article of mine in case you’re looking for some tips as to how you can approach having a successful meltdown.

3. Your vocabulary.

You tend to say “O-M-G”, “Pray for me” (insert unnecessary situation), “You’ll never believe this”, and “Obviously” like, A LOT.

4. Melodramatic much?

Sorry I can’t lift that box for you, mom. I got my blood drawn 8 hours ago and well you know, don’t want to pop my recovering vessel.

5. Having high standards.

Honestly, there is absolutely nothing wrong with having high standards. I won't settle for anything less than I deserve and neither should you.

6. The way you incorporate details into a story.

You manage to make the tiniest details sound like a major part of the story. Apparently, not everyone lives for the details like you.

7. You tend to take things personally - even when it’s not.

Your best friend texted you “Cool.” Why did she just use a period? Is she mad? She doesn’t sound that excited since she didn’t use an exclamation. She never even uses punctuation texting me. Wonder what’s up with her today.

8. You KNOW you can be overdramatic at times.

It’s just how us drama queens are wired. Like, you really think I don’t know that I’m being a little dramatic? I know, I just can’t help it. Sorry, I have lots of feelings and tend to express them all. And, after you telling me 10 times a day, I think I get it.

9. You live for reality TV.

I mean come on, who doesn’t love watching other people’s drama unfold, especially when it’s extra dramatic.

10. You take jokes a little too far.

I am definitely guilty of this one. Comparing something a little too drastic to something you really just don’t want to do.

11. And, of course, the obvious one: you’re a QUEEN.

Because clearly being a Drama Queen is only for those of us who are special and can handle the responsibilities that come with it.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
