So, you're really hitting it off with your latest Bumble match. The two of you have chatted back and forth for a while now, grabbed lunch earlier this week, and now he's Snapchatting you like crazy asking to come over and show you his latest Netflix obsession. You know damn well that you'll only get fifteen minutes into "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" before you're on his lap making out with him but you don't really mind.

Only problem? You share the oversized closet otherwise known as a dorm room with someone else.

Now before you go ahead and put that sock on the door handle or write your code word on the whiteboard, consider this:

You're a dick if you decide to sexile your roommate.

There's no easy way around it—kicking someone out of their room and keeping them away from their bed is one of the biggest dick moves you can make in college. It doesn't matter if the Netflix and chill session lasts 20 minutes or two hours. You are taking away this person's personal space.

After a long day, all anyone wants to do is go back in the room, curl up in their bed, and binge-watch their favorite YouTubers in comfort. That's impossible when you send them a text as they're just about to leave class telling them you've chosen your sex life over respecting them enough to let them decompress in the comfort of their own room.

Sure, you may be thinking of the community lounge or the comfort of their friend's dorm room just down the hall. While those are viable options, it still isn't the same! Lounge couches are not made for sleeping and neither is their friend's floor. You know you wouldn't want to be excluded from your room for hours on end, so why would you think it's okay to do that to your roommate?

There are ways around sexiling. It isn't that hard to get your roommate's schedule and coordinate your hookup schedule with that. I can promise you there's plenty of time in the day for you and whoever you're rolling under the covers with to get it on without sexiling someone.
