New Jersey is my home and as much as some of my friends say they hate Jersey, I love it with all of my heart. I was born a Jersey girl and I wear that proudly on my sleeve from my "Jersey accent" to my knowledge of the parkway to my choice of sports teams. Down below you can check out seven ways you know you're from Jersey as told by a well-seasoned Jersey girl.

1. "America runs of Dunkin" more like New Jersey runs on Dunkin

If you walk into any high school or college class in Jersey I guarantee you at least three people will have a cup of Dunkin's coffee on their desk. I'd say about fifty percent of my each of my paychecks goes towards Dunkin Donuts, so I am definitely guilty of bringing an iced coffee to my 11:30 psych class.

2. We don't go to the beach, we go "down the shore."

No one really knows why, but that's just the way it is in Jersey.

3. New Jersey versus everybody

If you're from Jersey you most likely have an attitude like nobody's business and you'll use it on anyone who does you wrong.

4. Jersey citizens may pump fists, but we do not pump gas.

Fun fact, it's actually illegal to pump your own gas in New Jersey.

5. PORK ROLL OR TAYLOR HAM???

The ongoing Jersey debate over what that delicious meat is actually called. You can tell immediately where someone is from in Jersey based on what they call this meat. (It's Taylor Ham obviously).

6. Aggressive driving is just a part of your nature

If you're from Jersey you know that Jersey drivers are the best drivers. You know that people from New York don't know how to drive and neither do people from Pennsylvania or Connecticut. Although if you're not from Jersey you'd probably say New Jersey drivers are terrible drivers.

7. New Jersey is a strong, diverse, and amazing state!

In the end, if you're from Jersey you know it's the best state in the whole US. We have all four seasons, we have beaches and cities and farmland. We've got Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks. We get to have New York City and Philadelphia as our neighbors and we know how to have a good time. Jersey strong!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
