With my senior year coming up in the fall, it's hard to believe that it's already my last year. But what's even harder to believe is that it's already been four years since I started my senior year of high school. Things sure can change a lot in four years, and there are a lot of differences in being a senior in high school and being a senior in college.
1. Senior year of high school: Deciding on the PERFECT outfit
to wear when you strut into school on the first day.
Senior year of college: Picking out the t-shirt with the
least amount of wrinkles and maybe putting on some make-up… maybe.
2. Senior year of high school: Painting “SENYAS” and “2012” (or
whatever year) on the back windshield of your car so everyone in town knew that you
were a senior.
Senior year of college: Dear God, PLEASE don’t do that. I
mean, unless you really want everyone in Commuter West to know that you’re a
senior… but I wouldn’t advise it.
3. Senior year of high school: Getting resumes together to send
to people so they can write sorority recommendations for you.
Senior year of college: Not showing up to chapter for said
sorority because you’re a senior who thinks they can miss chapter.
4. Senior year of high school: Waking up at the crack of dawn to get to Starkville to tailgate all day before a football game.
Senior year of college: Actually, that still happens. Except you don’t have to drive two hours from home just to get there.
5. Senior year of high school: Joining every club so it would look good on resumes and college applications.
Senior year of college: Doing the bare minimum when it comes
to clubs because you don’t have time for that at this point.
6. Senior year of high school: Waking up super early so you were able to go to Chick-fil-A for breakfast.
Senior year of college: "Early" is 10 a.m. It's awful, and you miss Chick-fil-A breakfast.
7. Senior year of high school: Counting down the days until
graduation because you were one step closer to getting the heck out of your
hometown
Senior year of college: Crying at graduation because you
want to stay in college forever. DON’T MAKE ME GO INTO THE REAL WORLD.
