The end of the semester is finally here. It's a whirlwind of finals and papers and excitement and it may seem like you won't make it through the last few weeks. I promise you will make it, you just need to breathe and take a break to laugh. If anyone knows cramming insane amounts of stress into a week it is the cast of SNL, so take a quick study break to smile a little bit! You can do it!
When the professor tells you not to wait until the night before to do an assignment
No matter how many times I tell myself that I won't procrastinate on an assignment, I always end up doing the whole thing the night before it's due.
When you've had more than 10 cups of coffee in the past 24 hours
That extra-large Dunkin coffee with three shots of espresso is the only thing keeping me alive this week.
When someone is telling you that they don't have any finals/their finals are all take-home
When you think about being away from your friends for the summer
The struggle is especially real when your friends from school live in a different time zone than you.
When your paper is due at midnight and you turn it in at 11:58
When your friend says they'll meet you in the library, but every other student on campus is also there
I never even knew that this many people went to this school...and how are they all fitting in this library right now? This has got to be against some sort of fire code.
When you think you're an expert in a topic because you took one class about it
It's amazing that after one semester of taking an intro level bio course you seem to be on the verge of discovering the cure for cancer.
When your professor assigns a paper due the same day as your final
Pro tip: Determine the priority of assignments by looking at how much of your grade they are worth on the syllabus.
When a classmate asks what you're writing about for your paper that's due in two days
Forever hoping for that random burst of inspiration.
When you have assignments to do, but the wifi won't work
You know it's finals week when even the Internet gives up.
When you're overwhelmed with work and life in general
When you have to meet to do group projects
There is no such thing as an equal distribution of work in a group project and there never will be.
When you give up on trying to eat healthy
The library cafe really begins to call your name at 2 am.
When you think about what life would be like if you decided to just drop out
When you finally make a move on the crush you've had all semester
It's crazy what kind of courage sleep deprivation and stress will give you.
