This scripture is a daily reminder for me. Everyday I seek the Truth because I know that the Truth is the only thing that will not fool me. I see people blindsided by their desires, not realizing that some desires are specifically here to harm them. When we know the Truth, we are able to see everything for what it truly is and not for what we want it to be. Sometimes we lie to ourselves because we hate to face the Truth, because we know that the Truth usually hurts or takes something away from us. Truth comes with sacrifice but we do not give enough credit to the fact that the Truth takes away what we do not need and brings us what we do need. I would rather lose something harmful than to neglect and reject something that can change my life for the better.
