The direction of your life is determined by the decisions you make. It is true that we do not possess the power to control some aspects of life, from the weather to the actions of others; however, we are truly full of the deepest power to choose how we open ourselves up to what the world has to offer.
Every morning, upon opening your eyes, you are immediately faced with a decision: How will you live today? Although many people are faced with feelings of hopelessness in a world in which it seems like we control so little, the truth is that largest determiner of how our days are lived out lies in those first few seconds after our eyes crack open each morning.
Even among pain and struggle that we have no ability to control, the power to welcome each day with open arms and commit to living each day out with love can never, ever be taken from us. Therefore, it can be considered an innate human ability, such as thinking or breathing, that any outside circumstance can never suppress. We are innately able to decide how we will live, each and every day. How incredible is that?
By accepting each day with open arms, we determine our attitudes. We dedicate ourselves to striving for positivity. With positivity, we live life to the fullest, smiling and helping other people smile. Say "yes" each day when the world begs for your presence, accepting your position in the world, realizing that nothing would be the same without you. Say "yes" to living out selfless love, for living out compassion, for living out your own personal being. You are so needed in this world.
The truth is, we will have bad days, bad weeks, bad months, and maybe even bad years. However, while hardship is often imposed upon us, positivity is a choice. Sunshine is inside of you. Display it brightly. Show others what it means to live life through a scope of happiness, because it can be done.
There is a world full of people who will be graced to meet you and experience everything you have to offer. There are magnificent places to see, successes to be won, surprises to be discovered, and people to inspire and to be inspired by. You are one unique, incredible, wonderful being; an unrepeatable miracle, really. There has never been and will never be another you. This world needs you. This world needs to see your face, to feel your presence, and to get to know the heart inside of you.
So say "yes" to what the world asks of you each morning. You will be sweetly surprised by the power of positivity.
