To Every Girlfriend And Wife Across America, We Can Confirm That Yes, Saturdays Are For the Boys

Dear all,

I not only speak for myself, but I also speak on behalf of all boyfriends and husbands across the U.S. who enjoy their Saturdays...

In a woman's mind, Saturday's are meant to be for dragging us (men) to go shopping, or listening to you about your week. But haven't you done that to us enough? Don't we already hear about your day at dinner during the week? This is why you should let us have our Saturdays.

It's perceived by the female population that everytime guys get together it's just a bunch of drunken debauchery. To us (for the most part) Saturdays mean kicking it back with our closest friends and enjoying the day amongst other men. The mindset means for one day out of the week, all of our problems of everyday life seem to fade away, and you can just chill with your bros.

Don't worry, we still love and care about you, but we just need a day where we can relax. We don't need someone telling us that we drank too many beers or that we forgot the put the cap back on the toothpaste. That's what Sunday thru Friday is for.

We aren't being totally irresponsible on Saturday's either. Don't worry we feed ourselves. Saturday's are the best day for us to bring out the grill rain or shine. We also aren't binge drinking all day either. It's usually a six-pack kind of day because most of the time we are hungover because we drank way too many glasses of wine at dinner with your parents the night before.

Occasionally, whenever our favorite team is playing we tend to get a little wild and reckless, but we keep it under control as much as we can. It brings a man some sense of accomplishment when he can shotgun a beer faster than his buddies. It's probably the same feeling whenever you're on a girls night out and you get the most free drinks from the bartender. But when we do get reckless, watch out because sometimes we might come home with a black eye. Don't worry, we aren't fighting sometimes backyard wrestling just gets a little out of hand after a few too many.

A lot of women question where the phrase "Saturdays Are For the Boys" even came from. Some tend to believe it came from a Twitter hashtag tweeted by Barstool Sports that became popular in summer 2016, but the phrase goes farther back than that. The evolution of the phrase was founded back in 1492 when Christopher Columbus found it carved in the paint on Plymouth Rock. Throughout the course of time, many famous figures in history have evolved the phrase and meaning it represents today.

With all that being said, all we ask is for one day out of the week where we can escape reality and be a guy. There are only 52 Saturdays every year, and that leaves you with roughly 313 days out of the year to make us tend to your every waking moment. Personally, we think it molds us as a person. One day a week to ourselves allowing us to be the barbarians we are makes us realize that we can not live without you. So just let us have Saturdays.

Sincerely,

Every husband and boyfriend across the U.S.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
