She's always there for me, despite the time difference

My person just so happens to be living in London, which means that she is 5 hours ahead of me everyday. However, the time difference never stops her from constantly being there for me and vice versa. I know that when I'm having some type of an off day, she'll always be just a text away, and she knows the same from me. Whether it be 4am my time or 6am her time, I know that I can call or text her and that she'll be there.

She knows my secrets and never holds them against me

For me, trust is a huge thing because so many people have fucked me over in my past. However with her I know that she'll never tell anyone what I tell her. She's seen me in some of the darkest parts of my life, and she's never held those moments against me.

My family loves her as much as I do

At this point in our friendship, she's basically considered part of the family. I consider her the older sister that I never had, even though she's only two years older than me. My whole family loves her and they always tell me how happy they are that I'm friends with her. My mom stocks up on snacks just for her, and this points it's common to find her in my kitchen rather than my room.

She tags me in memes

In the year of 2017, if your best friend doesn't tag you in memes are you even considered best friends? I usually tend to tag her in more memes but it's okay because she does tag me bag. We'll sometimes communicate on posts and stuff like that makes me happy. It makes me realize that we don't have to talk everyday for our friendship to last.

Honestly? She's just the best

Probably the most cliche reason ever but it's the truth. I think everyone deserves a friend like her because everyone deserves a friendship like this. Despite our differences and our fights, we still manage to come together and make our friendship grow. I'm excited to see where our friendship goes and how we go over the obstacles that come our way. I think that having a friend who isn't part of my "family friend" group keeps me sane. It ensures me that we'll never get caught up in the drama, and I never have to worry about snakes trying to take her from me.

So thank you to my person.

Thanks for being you and for being my friend despite how annoying I can be.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
