Everyone seems to have freshman roommate horror stories, but we actually liked each other. It was something rare, something beautiful, and yet we still couldn't stand eachother sometimes, despite our shared love.
1. Julia: She always had her stuff on her desk.
So I'm kind of a neat freak and she was the opposite... Someone must have lied on that room mate assignment quiz.
2. Taylor: Our regional barriers got in the way. A lot.
Who says "on line" instead of "in line"? You're physically standing in a line.
3. Julia: She liked to sleep in a lot.
No, seriously. I dare you to name a time where she wasn't sleeping.
4. Taylor: She threw pillows at me on a daily basis.
I mean, she was just trying to wake me up so I could make it to class on time, but still.
5. Julia: She plays ToonTown.
. . . Do I even need to explain this one?
6. Taylor: She's pretty much a stereotypical athletic sorority girl...
And always had friends over when I was sleeping. Even though I sleep all of the time.
Even through all of this, we still managed to maintain our friendship. This year we do not live together and it's sad, but will always be each other's freshman year roommates who had to struggle through those awkward first encounters together, and for that we will always be thankful.
