Ronald Darby Scouting Report

In This Article:

A 3rd-year cornerback who has started 36 of 37 career games played was traded from the Bills to the Eagles in the 2017 offseason. Transitioned from DC Dennis Thurman and HC Rex Ryan's heavy man blitz scheme to DC Jim Schwartz's off man/cover 3 scheme seamlessly. He has slim frame with solid height, weight, and arm length. Possesses very good athletic ability with elite acceleration and burst, very good speed, and very good jumping ability. Mirrors receivers well in off-man coverage from either an inside or outside leverage and use his acceleration to break on the receiver's route. Has elite ball skills, can maintain contact with the receiver in press man, turn his head around, locate and swat the ball away especially in red zone situations where he is elite. In off-man coverage, has the ball skills and AA to break on a short route disrupt the pass and even rip it in the air for another defender to intercept. In off zone cover 3, has the mental processing to read the QB eyes and route concepts to break on a pass that might be outside his "zone" and possesses good catching ability to intercept the ball. Has the good lateral quickness and patience to match and disrupt a receiver's angle at the LOS and has good hand placement in accordance with his leveraging once the receiver has released off the line. A very good open field tackler, despite his tendency to lower his head, closes space fast and under control and will bring down a bigger wide receiver and not be dragged for additional yards. Has marginal play strength taking on blocks and will be erased from the play by almost any blocker. Has tendency in off-man coverage to maintain too much of a cushion between him and the receiver making him susceptible in the intermediate range against a very good route running receiver. His aggressiveness in off-man coverage causes him to bite on double moves and give up big plays. An adequate run support player whose competitive toughness will make him insert himself to put himself in a position to make the tackle, but his marginal play strength makes it hard for him to shed blocks, or constrict a running lane. Overall, Ronald Darby is a Starting Outside Cornerback you can win because of by placing him in off man, cover 3, or press cover one. Has the AA and anticipation skills to break quickly on the ball from off technique. Mirrors receivers hips well and uses hands well to maintain leverage/disrupt after WR releases. Can be left on an island especially in the red zone. Very good open field tackler but lacks the play strength to take on and shed blocks. Has Elite ball skills and will routinely attack the receivers bread basket or come down with the interception himself. His acceleration and aggressiveness sometimes leads him to break on double moves giving up big gains. Will sometimes underestimate his own athletic ability and keep t0o much of a cushion between him and the WR between the 7-12 yard depth.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
