Being a Role Model

I want to make sure that I am a good role model for the people around me.

Being a Role Model

I have been thinking a lot lately about who I want to be. One thing that I want to be is a role model for people.

I have noticed that young children are always watching people who are older than them. And I do mean ALWAYS. With that being said, I want to make sure that I am a good example for these kids. Yes, you may not know who is watching and when, but that just means that you have to be on you’re A game at all times. If you act one way when you think no one will be watching you, then you could miss an opportunity to speak to someone. Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t think that you need to go around and act fake because that will not help anyone at any time.

I know that I did say that young children are the ones that are watching you, but it is not just limited to them. There will always be several different people of different ages watching to see what you may do. With that being said, you need to always been the good example that people need to see.

I like to think about the fact that I have helped several people in the past. I have two lovely girls that I babysit sometimes who I care about so much that I want to make sure that I am the best example that I can be for them. Maybe one day, they too will be examples for young girls who want to learn from them. I would not want to do anything to mess up the example I can be. I know that I am now in college, and it can be easy to get swept up into the party scene or stray from my faith in God, but I want to keep a classy persona and let people know that I am a strong believer in God. To me, I love the idea of being different and a positive example for people. Let them see the difference in me.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
