The Olympics the greatest tournament for is the fittest, the strongest and quickest of them all. I like to say that the Olympics are a way to unify people from all over the planet. It is another way to make everybody feel the accomplishment of winning a gold medal in each category, but also every athlete dreams of training and competing in the greatest tournament in this planet. Generation after generation of people competing in the Olympics and bring their gold medals to their countries. This year, I got say it is good that Brazil, they are the happiest people with the most jubilant carnival in the whole world. Hosting the tournament cannot be any better for one of the most satisfied people in the world, and I feel they did so far a good work with the ceremony, competitions, and many other things.

So, let me begin with this: Brazil shouldn’t be the host of the Olympics.

Yes I know the Olympics already started, but I think you should be aware why I’m saying this. Here are many reasons why Brazil shouldn’t be hosting the Olympics:

1. Brazil contaminated waters:

If you haven’t already heard about this news well, the rivers of Brazil are full of s%*t. Yes, that right, most of the athletes are swimming, rowing or sailing in water full of s&*t. The government of Brazil failed to keep the promise to clean at least an 80% of contaminated waters, and that bid was held in 2009. According to committee of Rio Olympics, they say there was not full commitment with the government to keeping that promise. Now for most of the athletes like the U.S rowing Olympian team has to wear special suits to compete and to prevent infections, but still, those suits according to health experts say that those suits are not gonna work.

As part of its Olympic bid, Rio promised to clean up 80% of the bay for the games where the sailing event will be hosted. But local government officials have already acknowledged that a cleanup by 2016 is not achievable. REUTERS/Sergio Moraes

2. Brazil is broke and corrupted:

Brazil's federal government approved a bailout, worth about $850 million (2.9 billion reals), to beef up security in Rio for the Olympics Games. The cash will also be used to pay police officers, who have not been paid for overtime work for over six months. Not also forgetting that President of Brazil Dilma Rousseff was forced to step down in May after Congress voted to start an impeachment trial against her for allegedly manipulating Brazil's budget to make it look better than it was during her re-election.

3. Brazil high in crime:

Violence in Rio has gone up. The Government of Brazil is managing to put more security in places with more tourists. Violence between gangs and the police in the ghetto or “Favelas” as they called has gone up. Many of the Athletes have been mugged the latest example is the athlete from China Shi Dongpeng who according to International press association a man then vomited over Shi, who went to clean himself up while the cameraman chased the man out of the hotel. When they returned, all of the cameraman’s equipment had been stolen, as well as baggage belonging to both men.

4. Zika virus:

Doctors in Brazil said the virus had caused a huge uptick in severe birth defects. The Health Ministry has confirmed 1,489 cases of Zika-related microcephaly since the virus was detected in the country. They are investigating more than 3,000 suspected cases. It is advisable that pregnant women must avoid areas with Zika or people returning from areas with Zika should adopt safe-sex practices for at least eight weeks upon return.

To be honest, I'm surprised the Olympics lasted this long since the people of Brazil are outraged how this turn out to be. The Olympics was a disaster before it began, with their economic plummeting, the Zika virus, crime rose up and corruption in the government I don’t blame the people of Brazil to be mad at their leaders. But I’m angry as well to the government of Brazil for making makes tons of horrible decisions and not keeping their promises.

So, to my brothers and sisters from Brazil, stay active and be awesome as always.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
