Ted talks, Melania steals, and Barron yawns.

A Review of the 2016 RNC

Have you heard? The circus is in town! It's called "Make America Great Again". The clown wears a funny wig and makes ludicrous and inaccurate statements. Is it any surprise that the RNC seemed to be a bit of a disaster? When Ted Cruz makes the most thoughtful remarks (he refused to give his support to the power-hungry and crazed Trump), you've got to realize that something is not quite right. Let's take a look at some of the most exciting parts of the night, shall we?

To begin, Donnie Boy has continued to use songs by The Rolling Stone's despite their continuous criticism of his campaign. Trump, however, who has never had to exercise self-control, does not understand that NO means NO. I'm secretly praying that the band continues to speak out against Trump when he uses their music without permission and then take legal action against him. I do love it when Presidential candidates ignore reasonable demands like "Hey, don't use my music unless I say it's okay to use my music." It really demonstrates the point that he was trying to get across during his speech, that he's here for the American people. That's right, Trump ignored The Rolling Stones because they're British. Take that, England!

One interesting aspect of the night was Melania's speech. Not only was it a great lesson to college students (don't plagiarize, you'll get caught), but it was so ironic. Melania didn't steal just anyone's speech. Melania stole part of Michelle Obama's speech. Melania, the wife of a man who could not be more prejudiced against democrats, especially Obama and Hilary, stole part of Michelle Obama's speech. Is this not hilarious to anyone else? I mean, of course it was a serious mistake and the "speech-writer" has come out to "take full responsibility" of the speech, but apparently Donald and Barack have more in common than they originally thought.

However, my favorite part of the night was seeing Donald's youngest child, Barron. First of all, Barron is a great name, quite reminiscent of the robber-barons in the early 20th century. It really emphasizes the main theme of Trump's campaign. Secondly, Donald's son looks like a mini Donald! Which is definitely not creepy at all. And lastly, he was falling asleep pretty much the entire time. Which is hilarious. Donald's own son didn't want to hear his dad's speech. I'm also not surprised that little Donald had no self-control and was not paying attention (but that's none of my business).

What was your favorite part of the night? Comment below with something interesting that you noticed. Was it how Donnie blames China for all of America's problems? Or maybe how he honestly believes that American isolationism has been effective in the past and will be effective in the future? Maybe it was a funny tweet you saw under the hashtag "Famous Melania Trump Quotes"?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
