If you haven't already, you should check out my very first Odyssey article that talks about my hometown: Brunswick, Ohio. I mentioned a few places to eat and drink, but I did not go further into other restaurants and bars to go to in Brunswick, Ohio. Here are mor of them.
Cozumel's
If you are feeling Mexican, which my family is always feeling, you have to go to Cozumel's. The prices are pretty cheap, the food is fantastic, and the margaritas are really good. It is a great place to be to catch up with friends.
The Red Onion
Somebody like me, who lives in Brunswick, Ohio, enjoys this bar. It may not get as many people as it used to, but it takes you back to memory lane. You may love it or hate it, but I always enjoy my time at the Red Onion. The employees are very nice and the food is pretty good. Make sure that you call ahead of time to see if they are open or closed. Their hours tend to change, depending on how many people are at the bar.
Wingz Sports Grill
When my buddies and I get together, this is our spot to grab some wings and watch a game. The wings are very good and I would recommend the jalapeños pretzel as an appetizer. I love going to this place because the prices are reasonable and the employees are really cool.
Wild Fusion
If you are feeling like eating Chinese takeout, Wild Fusion is the place that I recommend. My family and I don't usually get Chinese, but this is the place that we would go to takeout. Their stir fry is very good. I, personally, get their chicken, shrimp, and white rice.
Fatbob Pizza
If you are looking for a pizza place with huge toppings, this is the place to go. I went here once for a friend's birthday. Their sausages are almost the size of a golfball. It's very good!
Heimatland Restaurant
It has been years since I have been to this German restaurant, but I do like their food. It's very traditional German-type food with schnitzel, spaetzle, and sauerkraut. I have also heard that they have really good breakfast.
The Grille
This is the perfect college-type bar and restaurant to attend. Obviously, adults would enjoy this place too. They have volleyball tournaments at the back of the place and there is beer. What can go wrong with that? Well, obviously, don't do too much.
Great American Pizza Company
Great American Pizza has been voted one of the best pizzas in Brunswick, Ohio. You can only get it delivered or through carry out, but it is very good pizza. The location has had a number of different names and pizza places, but this one has been around longer than them all. It has earned the right to stay.
Master Pizza
Master Pizza has been around Brunswick for a very long time. Even when I was a kid, this pizza place was around.
Sideline's Sports Bar & Grill
If you ever want to have a party or special event, this is the place to go. They always have specials on food and drinks. They also have specials when it comes to sporting events. They love their Cleveland sports teams! I do too.
Donutland
When I was younger, my family would go to Donutland to get donuts for Christmas. It's a small donut shop right next to Walgreen's. You can't go wrong with a fresh, hot donut.
42 Eighty Bar
It's one of the few bars that in Brunswick, Ohio, but it's a very cool place. They seem to always have bands coming to perform and they are always good. I might have to make a stop there over the summer.
House of Pearl
This was the very first Chinese restaurant that I went to. I went to the Lutheran school across from the restaurant and we ate there for lunch as a "field trip." The food was excellent and I liked their wonton soup.
Old World Deli
I have been to a lot of different restaurants in Brunswick, but I have not been here before. Honestly, I have never even heard of the place. Looking at the reviews, they have one of the best sandwiches in the area if you don't look at chain restaurants. It's very close to Fatbob's. I will definitely have to make a stop here.
Mucho Buenos
Other than Cozumel's, Mucho Buenos is another great Mexican restaurant to go to. It is smaller than Cozumel's but their food is very good. Their service is quick and you can never go wrong with margaritas. (Wow, I could use a margarita right now.)
As you can see, there are plenty of local restaurants and bars to go to in Brunswick, Ohio. You have different styles to go to, including Mexican, Chinese, Italian, German, and, of course, American. If you are ever in town, I recommend that you stop at one of these places. Try something new and see if you'll like it.
