Rest In Peace, Craig Sager

As the holidays come before us and the year comes to an end, there was another unfortunate loss in sports, and that is the absence of Craig Sager, a sports analyst who finally lost the battle to cancer.

Sager was known for his colorful suits, which were fun and bright, as well as his sideline interviews of coaches and players. He was loved by every team and player in the league, such as San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich and Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James. They went out of their way to express their affection for the reporter. Sager was also an inspiring figure. During his fight with leukemia, which was discovered in 2014, he spoke bravely at the ESPYs award show which left athletes speechless and in tears:

"I will live my life full of love and full of fun. It's the only way I know how."

On battling cancer: "I will continue to keep fighting sucking the marrow out of life as life sucks the marrow out of me."

On living life to the fullest: "Time is something that cannot be bought, it cannot be wagered with God, and it is not in endless supply. Time is simply how you live your life."

Sager ended his speech and ESPYs award by stating how you should take advantage of everyday:

"If I’ve learned anything through all of this, it’s that each and every day is a canvas, waiting to be painted — an opportunity for love, for fun, for living, for learning."

Craig Sager lived a joyful and prosperous life. He lived his life to the fullest and worked in an occupation that he loved. His charismatic smile and colorful suits will never be forgotten.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
