6 reasons to watch the world cup

Once every four years, the world has the pleasure of watching men play soccer. It really is a blessing to us all.

If you disagree now, you won't in just a few finger scrolls.

Yes, believe it or not, there is more to it than watching Messi or Ronaldo. Crazy concept!

While it's happening in Russia, it's available on TV, so here are six reasons, in no particular order, to tune-in to the World Cup.

1. Butts

Pictures speak a thousand words... need I say more?

2. Quality Soccer

This one is for the real soccer fans. The World Cup is a great way to admire your idols as they embarrass your enemies' idol. These guys will also make you feel better that you did not make your high school soccer team. There really are people out there with better skill... sorry.

3. Not Quality Soccer

If real soccer isn't your thing, this one will still give you a little bit of happiness. Watching grown men throw themselves on the floor and whine like a 7-year-old is quite a sight to see. I think a middle school girl could hold her own better than some of these men.

4. Pleasing To The Eye

Gerard Piqué. Matt Hummels. Ramadan Sobhi. André Silva. Fahad Al-Muwallad. Alireza Jahanbakhsh. Go ahead and look them up. Watch their game. You can thank me later.

5. Funny Faces From The Crowd

People watchers!! This one is for you! Nothing is better than watching people's reactions in the crowd when something happens on the field. A soccer game can reallyyy be life changing, or so they act like it.

6. Countries Come Together

Thirty-two countries meet up every four years to battle it out at one of the world's most competitive sport tournaments. You and your rivals could never.

Now that I have thoroughly convinced you to watch a World Cup soccer game, go turn one on and enjoy before it ends!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
