It's understandable that you may not like either of the candidates, but you should still vote. Not only is voting an important part of our political system, but if you don't vote, the candidate you hate the most could win. But if those two reasons aren't enough to convince you to vote, here's some more.
1. Participation
Do it for the insta/snapchat/twit pic. Most people like to feel cool, or like they participated/made an effort, so do it so you're not the only one who didn't. Or hey, do it so you're the only one who did and you can make everyone else feel like shit.
2. Stickers
Just because I'm almost 20 years old doesn't mean I love stickers any less. So do it for the free sticker, because God knows you're literally too poor to go to Wal-Mart and buy them.
3. Social Justice and Stuff
Call me crazy, but I'm one of those people who actually believes that voting and participating in government makes a difference. By voting, we show the government that we care about the issues and our community.
4. You feel "adult-y"
Listen, I may be in college, but there are very few times a day, or even a week, hell, a month, where I feel like an actual adult. But voting? Yeah, voting is going to be one of those times.
5. Vote because you're happy it's over
Be happy that we no longer have to watch Donald Trump make an even bigger fool of himself on national tv while spewing lie to the American public. Now we cant focus on the more important issues of what's going on with the Kardashians or obsessing over whatever male celeb went shirtless in his new movie. You know, the stuff that matters.
