I have noticed that UK student attendance has been WAY down at Rupp Arena this semester. Attendance will probably increase when conference play starts, but still. When you reflect on your college years, you will wish that you had been there to see some of the greatest UK teams of all time under a literal hall of fame coach. Here are a few of the top reasons to go to UK Basketball games:
1. A chance to see a potential National Championship team play
Seriously. How cool is that?
2. A chance to see the team before some of them leave for the NBA
A lot of the UK players are one and dones, and this is the only year that many of them will be on campus.
3. Tickets are $10 each
I know. I know. The student ticket price was doubled. It annoys me, too. But still. A $10 ticket is still the cheapest ticket that you will EVER find. Plus a chance to stand within 15 feet on the court in the erupption zone? How could you pass that up?
4. A chance to rock Kentucky Blue
Access your inner Drake. Come on. You know you want to.
5. A chance to make new friends
I have made so many new friends at the games, especially with my fellow regulars. You can never have enough friends!
I know that some of you many be tired of hearing me talk about UK sports and why you should actually go to the games. I know. I’m tired of it too, but it needs to be said. Go to the games. I know that watching the games on your couch is easier, but it is not nearly as fun. Don’t miss out!
