Four Reasons Why I Am a Proud Member of #BravesCountry
Casey Hicks on Twitter

Some girls love football, hockey, basketball, softball, rugby, cheerleading, lacrosse and even water polo. Me, I love baseball. To others, though, I don't love the game just because of the attractive baseball players. I love it because of the dynamics, the action and the fact that it is an everyday sport. Here are my top four reasons why I love the game of baseball and am a proud member of #BravesCountry

    1. My favorite team, the Braves

I love everything about the braves, whether I am seeing them live in person or live on TV. I have been a fan for as long as I can remember because at first it was a way for my Papa and I to bond, but now I watch it because I love the game. With the TV aspect, UI love all of the parts of a game. The pregame, the game, the postgame, the interviews, like I said, everything. I love listening to the commentators make jokes during live games. I love when my favorite players do something good. I love the game. I especially love when Braves correspondent Kelsey Wingert interviews my favorite players. There is just something about Atlanta, Turner Field, SunTrust Park, and the Atlanta Braves that makes me a die hard fan

      2. My favorite players

Unlike most female fans, I do not just have favorite players because of their looks or attractiveness. I like them for that and for their talent of playing the game. The first time I watched Jeff Francoeur play for the Atlanta Braves, that was it. At seven years old, my favorite player had been decided on his MLB debut night. When he left the Braves I was super sad. I could not believe why they would trade him but now they have him back. I couldn't keep up with him and my braves so I started following some of their current players and then when Frenchy came back, I was able to have all three of my favorite players on one team. That being said, my favorite Braves players are Jeff Francoeur, Matt Wisler, and Chase D'Arnaud.

      3. The game itself

The game of baseball is nine innings full of ups and downs, hits and no-hitters, blowouts and shutouts. So many things could happen in one game and every season one team is better than they were before. As a member of Braves country I am going to remember that every team has their ups and downs and will keep on doing the tomahawk until I die

      4. UM, how about baseball pants

I know, super cliché but hey, baseball pants do look good, especially on Braves players. From Chipper Jones to Freddie Freeman to Kelly Johnson to Jeff Francoeur to Matt Wisler to Chase D'arnaud, I have to admit, their talent is my favorite parts of my favorite players but, I do like looking at them too

I know, this week's article is short and sweet. These four reasons are not the only reasons why I love the game. As you can see, I am one of the biggest baseball fans around. If I could go with my Papa and my brother one last time to turner field before it shuts down at the end of the season it would mean the world to me. My love for this game and my team also is driving me to work towards becoming a sports accountant (hopefully for the braves). Okay... rant over, all I have left to say is GO BRAVES!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
