I've grown up with both big and small dogs, and while both have their perks, everyone should consider owning a small dog at some point in their lives. I'm not saying small dogs are better than big dogs (I love both!). But often big dogs are seen as the only "real dogs," when in reality, small dogs can do almost everything a big dog can do and more! Here are 12 reasons why you should own a small dog.

1. They will be the size of a puppy their whole lives.

They fit perfectly in your lap!
