If you ever get to be with that person that makes your fingers tingly and your heart pump blood faster, then you, my friend, are a lucky one. And all in all, for lack of better words… don’t lose him. Here's some of the reasons why I feel lucky to have found that.
1. You know who I am, through and through, and still love me for it. You are aware of the fact that I snore when I sleep, and kick you on accident, yet you still put up with me. You deal with me being stubborn in a store when I want a new purse or sweater, and only sometimes give in to my puppy eyes. You’ve accepted the fact that the second I see a picture of a baby animal, I’m instantly in tears, and wanting all of them. You know all of my quirks and you accept me for me.
2. You make me laugh. You make your funny faces at me and the silly jokes you make about my little flaws. You have a beautiful personality that makes me laugh uncontrollably, and I love you for that. Laughter is my favorite feeling because of you.
3. You hold me in your arms, and say nothing more than that you love me. Any time I’m having a bad day, or just need a hug, you always have the best reactions. You stay quiet, embrace my hugs, and tell me that you love me as many times as I need it. And in bed at night, I lay on your chest, and you tell me you love me. That’s it. Simplicity at the end of every day, and I look forward to it.
4. I love you for the look you give me. Everyone knows that special look that you give. I can always tell when you’re just mesmerized with love. You give me a dazed stare with love coming out your eyes. Sometimes I’m not even looking, but when I do, I can feel the warmth in your heart for miles.
5. You’re proud to be with me. You show me off to your friends and family. You’re not afraid of a little PDA (which makes me really happy). We laugh together in public, and you’re affectionate to me around people that are important to you, and that makes me feel all the more important.
6. You tolerate our ‘long talks.’ You know me, and that sometimes when I need a long talk, you know when to shut up and listen. You really are a great listener. You also know how to have those good “future” talks, about baby names and wedding venues. You even talk to me about how devastating the Derek Shepard death was in Grey’s Anatomy.
7. You tell me how beautiful I am. And you even tell me when I don’t believe it about myself. You make me feel comfortable in my own skin.
8. You do all of the things I want to do, and never complain a bit. You tag along into all the stores in the mall and don’t pipe a sound, even if you are bored out of your mind. You go to Panera Bread with me, even though you say it’s a “girly place.” You go though endless nights of chick-flicks and Nicholas Sparks movies just so you can talk me out of my crying spells after they’re over, and still not peep a word. We “just cuddle” even when you want more. You’re a saint.
9. You know exactly how to decode every face I make, and every emotion I have. You clearly know when I’m feeling angry or upset, just by the look on my face. Not to mention the fact that you know exactly how to take care of it. You know exactly what my devious face looks like, and you always have the correct, worried reaction. And you especially know my face when I’m just too in love with you to even utter the words.
10. You write me love letters, even though you hate them. And even though you hate them, they make me flood with emotions every single time. Being away at school makes me upset thinking about the fact you’re so far from me. But when I get those hand-written letters (in your boy handwriting that I love so much), my heart just melts. Then I remember why I’m here in the first place.
11. You aren’t afraid to be yourself around me. You act your crazy self, with no holding back what-so-ever. You speak your mind to me, because that’s just who you are. You continuously prove your love to me, which is also why I’m so in love with you in the first place.
12. I love you because simply your presence makes my day that much better. I can literally just look at you and get butterflies. You make my heart sing by just your presence alone. The mere thought of you makes my day.
13. You love me endlessly. Simple as that.
