Conspiracy theories are some of the craziest things you’ll ever hear, something strange happened you’ll probably hear a conspiracy theory about it. They are these crazy stories that probably aren't true but you kinda want to think their true because it’d be exciting. One of these stories that has lingered for a long period of time is the conspiracy theory about the men in black

Yes you've probably seen or heard of the movie but thats not what I'm talking about, in reality the men in black have a long history of being involved in conspiracy theories dating back to as early as the 1940’s. Men in Black are those who visit people who have seen alien evidence and then threaten them to stay quiet about what they saw. The first recored sighting of the supposed men in black was by Harold Dahl in 1947. Dahl allegedly saw six ufo’s at Maury Island and claimed to have taken photos of what he saw but Dahl claimed that a man in black ruined his photo preventing anyone from seeing whatever evidence he had.

A more recent encounter and frightening encounter with the men in black was in 1976. Dr Herbert Hopkins. Hopkins was at the time a consultant on an alleged UFO teleportation case in Maine. One day when he was home alone he got a phone call from a man who claimed to be the vice president of the New Jersey UFO Research Organization (this organization doesn't exist btw). The man on the phone asked if he could visit Hopkins house to discuss details about the case he was consulting on. Hopkins agreed and then in no time, Hopkins opened his door to see two men dressed in black suits, very pale faces and no hair including a lack of eyebrows. They talked for a bit with the men in black eventually showing them a penny in their hand which slowly changed color and then dematerialized. The men in black than told Hopkins to destroy all of his research he had on UFO’s.

The most recent men in black sighting happened in 2009 in Niagara falls. A hotel manager and security guard that worked at the Sheraton hotel supposedly in October of 2008 saw a triangular UFO at Niagara Falls. In May of 2009 two men dressed in black visited the Sheraton hotel looking for the employees who saw the UFO. Neither of the two where working that day but supposedly the men in black were repeatedly asking to see them. The footage is contained here in this youtube video.

Now in reality are these stories true? Are the men in black real? Probably not, but it is strange that there are so many supposed encounters with them. Separately none of the stories would hold any significance, but maybe the fact that so many of them exist could mean something. If anything, if they ever decide to reboot the men in black movie series and turn into a thriller there’s plenty of source material for them to use.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
