To play like a girl is considered an insult. A man never wants to hear that he plays like a girl, and even little boys are taught early that it is a negative thing. I however, think that playing like a girl is never a bad thing. As a member of the women's rugby team at my university, I know women play tough, show no mercy, and give it their all, all while being team players and exhibiting good sportsmanship. And, if you have never seen a women's rugby match, you may need a visual of what it means to get down and dirty to kill it on the pitch. So, here are some photos(thank you to all the rugby moms and dads for these) of just another Rugby Day for a group of ruggers, including not only what happens on the field but what we deal with off.

We are close knit.

And we bruise.

But we suck it up because we love our game.
